Two Big Blondes Plus Size Consignment is a resale store for plus-size clothing size 14 and up & accessories located in the Central District of Seattle. We have been in business for over 28 years with a mission is to provide a warm and inviting space to embrace our bodies and unique styles while shopping for high-quality, sustainable fashion at affordable prices. We are a dynamic, diverse and supportive community of staff, volunteers, and customers.
We currently have an opening for a part-time position of a minimum of two days a week to assist customers and maintain a stylish and organized shop. Candidates must be available on Saturdays and one additional weekday (Tuesday-Thursday) with potential to add additional shifts on an on-call basis. Potential shifts are Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00am - 6:00pm & Sunday, 11:00am - 5:00pm.
The ideal candidate should have:
- A high affinity for customer service
- Experience & comfort working with a diverse clientele
- A perspective of body positivity for all
- Proficiency with computers & point-of-sale systems, preferably with database experience
- Interest in lending your creativity to the store's aesthetic & a passion for fashion
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Good time management & strong organizational skills
- Flexible attitude for variable workflow & task-shifts throughout the day
Sales Associates are responsible for:
- Assisting customers find clothing while providing excellent customer service
- Monitoring store displays, developing themes for displays with other staff, and ensuring that displays remain complete
- Tagging clothing and organizing clothing racks, ensuring clothes are in locations based on category, size, color, etc.
- Maintaining a clean, organized sales floor
- Communicating with customers about store policies and opportunities, including consignment protocol & events
- Preparing store for opening & closing with rotating cleaning tasks, including; vacuuming, dusting, sweeping outside, garbage & recycling, and restocking supplies
- Performing Point of Service at register with an understanding of database functions, including: consignor database, sales, and layaways
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be available to work on Saturdays and one additional weekday (Tuesday-Thursday). Current work shifts are Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm & Sunday 11:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- Work well independently and in a team environment
- Be punctual and self-motivated
- Communicate clearly in person and on the phone
- Physical demands*: Ability to lift up to 15 lbs regularly. Ability to bend/stoop and reach/pull frequently. Ability to carry and walk/stand constantly throughout the day. Ability to climb stairs. *See reasonable accommodations, below.
Compensation:
- Hourly pay rate starts at $22.50/hour.
